Chatbots and the future of AI in marketing

In April 2016, Facebook announced that their Messenger platform would be launching its bot feature. The introduction of the bot promised a simplified way for brands to provide customer service and e-commerce solutions via content rich messages that could include images, links and call to action buttons. A year later, Facebook Messenger had over 100,000 bots, with the most popular boasting thousands of interactions per day.
